Storage Shed or Something More?

The utility of the portable shed is continually evolving along with people’s creativity. Something that probably comes to most our minds when thinking about a portable shed is storage. It makes sense of course, if you’re like me, your garage is caulk full of things you rarely use and maybe some things of distant relatives that they rarely use that have somehow ended up in your care.

However, sheds built on skids for portability are more commonly bought for purposes you may not think of immediately... Home gyms, backyard hang out spots (think man cave/she shed), podcast studios, hobby rooms, additional dwelling units, hunting cabins, offices, small business start ups, and much more…

To be clear, these are not built to any residential building code for occupancy, but, this doesn’t seem to stop people from buying them to turn into a mother in-law suite or a place to live temporarily and even permanently for some. I’ve noticed this becoming more and more a trend, just like the park model home or more commonly known tiny house movement once was popular.

One thing’s for certain, as the economy continues to squeeze the working class - people will get more resourceful in creating their living space. It is hard to ignore how cheap it can be to purchase a shed for the shell as a crafty do-it-yourselfer and have a nice place to hang your hat for a bargain price. Just be sure you’re choosing a building that is well constructed.

When I was looking for something to put on our extra acre of commercial space, my Dad suggested we put small buildings on it and sell them. This led me on the hunt for a portable building manufacturer that I could contract with to offer quality sheds at an affordable price. As a builder myself, believe me when I say this - No one is building sheds with the integrity and quality of the sheds we sell by Pineview Buildings.

This was the primary reason I decided to become a dealer for them. Their commitment to quality and to their client is among the finest in any industry and resonated with my own beliefs… “If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.” Is what my grandfather used to tell us. Pineview Buildings does the job right, and they put their money where their mouth is, every shed they sell is backed by a 5 year craftsmanship warranty. If there is a defect or damage they caused, they will fix it. Hands down the best company out there in my opinion.

It’s amazed me how many people come to our lot to buy not a shed, but a space. Maybe they’ve outgrown their house and need a place to relax, a place to think, a place to work… or even a place to live. A well built shed is so important if bought for any utility purpose. This is a space you want to last for many years to come and this is why I recommend Pineview Buildings to everyone looking to buy a shed. You can, of course, check out the sheds we have on our lot by clicking on the pricing tab - but you can also check out the excellent 3D shed builder tool that Pineview Buildings offers at www.pineviewbuildings.com/shed-designer
